Introduction

The China Science and Technology Museum’s main function is scientific education. Through exhibits that combine scientific, informative, and interactive elements, as well as participatory and experiential educational activities, it reflects scientific principles and the application of technology, encourages the public to explore and practice, and not only popularizes scientific knowledge, but alsoemphasizes the dissemination of scientific thought, methods and spirit.In addition to exhibition-based educational activities, various scientific practices and training experiments are also organized to allow visitors to deepen their understanding and appreciation of science and technology through personal participation, stimulate their interest and curiosity in science, and improve their scientific quality imperceptibly.

All year round, Tuesday to Sunday 09:30-17:00; Open all year round; Closed all day on Mondays; Open 09:30-17:00 on New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day

Preferential policies

Children: 8 years old (inclusive) or under, or under 1.3 meters (inclusive) in height, must be accompanied by an adult (one adult is limited to three children for free), free of charge; 9 years old (inclusive) to 18 years old (not inclusive), with valid ID, discount

Senior: 60 years old (inclusive) or older, with valid ID, free

military personnel: Active military personnel, retired military personnel, disabled military personnel, armed police and retired military personnel with valid certificates can enter for free
