The museum has a collection of 200,000 specimens, including the world-famous Shandong giant dinosaur, the Chinese longbird and other dinosaur fossils, as well as Peking Man, Yuanmou Man, and other famous ancient human fossils. There are also a large number of fish, bird, insect and other precious prehistoric fossils. There are also the world’s largest “crystal king”, giant fluorite calcite crystal cluster specimens, exquisite specimens of Chinese characteristic minerals such as azurite, cinnabar, realgar, orpiment, scheelite and stibnite, as well as a large collection of national treasures such as a wide range of precious stones and jades.
