Chaoyang Park is a large urban park within the Fourth Ring Road.The park is home to a lake, trees, open lawns, pavilions, European-style castles and other buildings, and the environment is very beautiful.There are also many children’s play items in the park, which is perfect for relaxing strolls and recreational activities.

Recommended visiting time

There are multiple entrances and exits to Chaoyang Park, which can be accessed from all directions.The park is about 2-3 kilometers long, and it takes a long time to explore the entire area, about half a day.If you just want to relax and have fun, walking in some of the areas is fine, and about 2 hours is appropriate.

Highlights

North side: The north side of Chaoyang Park is dominated by trees and open lawns, which are suitable for relaxing picnics, strolling and viewing the scenery. Many couples also take wedding photos on the large lawn here, which is very beautiful.

Central: The middle part of the park is built along the lake, with mainly statues and squares.The statue of Xian Xinghai was designed and created by Professor Li Xiangqun of the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University. Looking up at the sculpture, Xian Xinghai seems to be waving the waters of the Yellow River with his outstretched arms, reminiscent of scenes of thousands of troops and horses, storms and rain.

South side: The south side of the park is dominated by a variety of amusement rides, including a simple roller coaster, a brave carousel, a carousel, and other projects.Near the Century Fountain Square, there is a colorful staircase hidden in the park, with beautiful colors and a great place for photos.

Boat ride on the lake
