Introduction

The Beijing Aquarium is located in the Beijing Zoo. Here you can see a variety of marine animals in different forms, as well as exciting animal performances by dolphins and sea lions. It is a great place to take children to learn about the ocean. The aquarium is a huge conch-shaped building with two floors, divided into six major exhibition areas: Rainforest Wonders, Shark Town, Underwater Tour, Whale and Dolphin Bay, Chinese Sturgeon Aquarium, and Ocean Theatre. After entering the aquarium, just follow the signs and visit each area in order. It takes about 3 hours to see the whole aquarium.Rainforest Wonders: Experience the rich tropical atmosphere. The entrance to the aquarium is on the south side, and entering from the south side leads you to the Rainforest Wonders area, which is a miniature of an artificially constructed Amazon jungle.Walking along the winding paths, flanked by trees, rockeries, waterfalls, etc., you can experience the rich tropical scenery. It showcases various species of tropical fish, such as the strange-looking discus, African prince, red dragon, etc., which you can admire one by one.Shark Town: A powerful and shocking experience. Its design takes into account factors such as the type, number and length of sharks, the structure of their prey, water quality requirements, swimming habits, living habits and future interactive participation of tourists.Opposite the shark aquarium, a modern fishing port town has been built, showing visitors the distinctive “Fisherman’s Wharf” style. Many national treasure fish are kept here, and you can watch the rare fish up close and see them being fed.Underwater Tour: Walking in the romantic underwater world. After exiting the Chinese Sturgeon Aquarium, the entrance to the Underwater Tour is here. Walking underwater along the tour route, you will pass through the South China Sea, Western Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Atlantic Ocean and other separated areas. Each area has different species with their own characteristics. You can enjoy the sight of a variety of fish swimming overhead. The scene is also very lively and romantic.Whale and Dolphin Bay: After saying hello to the sea lions and dolphins, it’s time to explore the Whale and Dolphin Bay. The main fish here are sea lions and dolphins. You can watch the animals training and playing in the water, which is cute and beautiful. After training here, the animals will go to the Ocean Theatre to perform.
