Daguan Garden is located in the southwest corner of Beijing’s Second Ring Road. It is a garden built to imitate the descriptions in the classic novel Dream of the Red Chamber, and it is also the filming location for the 87 CCTV version of the TV series Dream of the Red Chamber.Visitors can look for scenes from the show, learn about the culture of the Red Mansion, and enjoy the beautiful scenery in the garden.

The Grand View Garden is not large, measuring about 300 meters in length and width. It can be explored in about 2-3 hours.The scenery in the garden is very elegant, with the style of a large courtyard in the Jiangnan region. There are pavilions, towers, bridges and flowing water. Walking among them is very relaxing. Visitors can also pay to wear ancient costumes and have their photos taken, which is very interesting.

In many buildings in the park, there are wax figures of characters from A Dream of Red Mansions, imitating their life scenes; there is also a Wenlou Culture and Art Exhibition, where you can systematically learn about the culture of A Dream of Red Mansions.

Every year from the first to the fifth day of the first lunar month, the Red Chamber Temple Fair is very grand. Every day, there will be many themed performances, such as the Empress Dowager visiting her relatives, Bao Dai and Daiying getting married, and Jia Mo celebrating her birthday. There will also be folk art performances such as sugar figure making and face painting, making it a very lively event.

In addition, during the summer (May to October), there are evening activities such as Red Chamber cultural and artistic performances, shadow puppet shows, large-scale musical fountain performances, and the laser water curtain film “Dream of the Red Chamber”, which are also worth experiencing.
