Introduction

Baiheliang is located in the north of Fuling, Chongqingin the Yangtze River to the north of the city. This natural stone bridge is about 1,600 meters long and 15 meters wide on average. It was named after the cranes that used to gather here in large flocks.The stone carvings on the beam date back to before the second year of the Guangde period of the Tang Dynasty (764 AD), and there are currently 165 inscriptions (18 stone fish, 2 Guanyin statues, and 1 crane), mainly distributed along the middle section of the beam, which is about 220 meters long. In 2006, it was included in the Tentative List of World Heritage Sites in China.
