Shanghai Bund

The Bund is located on the banks of the Huangpu River.with a total length of about 1.5 kilometers, is a symbolically significant tourist attraction in Shanghai. The essence of the Bund lies in its architectural ensemble of different nationalities and the night view of the Huangpu River.

The Bund is lined with dozens of classical revival buildings in different styles. The Bank of China Building, Fairmont Peace Hotel, Customs House, and HSBC Building are famous for recreating the style of the former “Wall Street of the Far East”.What is surprising is that these buildings were not designed by the same architect, nor were they built at the same time, yet they possess a unique sense of harmony.The Bund features a variety of architectural styles, including French classicism, French grand residence style, and Gothic style. These are important historical sites and representative buildings of modern China, and they also form a beautiful landscape along the Huangpu River.
