Shanghai Greenhouse Garden

Shanghai Greenhouse Garden is locatedthe center of the Shanghai World Expo Culture Park, adjacent to the central lake and backed by the twin mountains. It covers an area of about 22,000 square meters, with a total above-ground and below-ground construction area of about 40,000 square meters. It is a multifunctional ecological complex that combines sightseeing, recreation and leisure.The exterior design combines historical memories with modern elements through the transformation and utilization of the old Shangang No. 3 Factory building, creating a naturally elegant cloud-like curve.The Shanghai Conservatory of Flowers consists of four venues, including a visitor service center and three themed venues (Hall 1: Mirage Island, Hall 2: Cloud Forest, and Hall 3: Cloud and Fog Canyon).The three theme pavilions are categorized according to the habitats of plants, and combined with the spatial structure of the building, typical ecological fragments from the world’s ecosystems are selected to create three environmental types: tropical arid, tropical wet shade-tolerant, and tropical wet sun-loving, to showcase tropical arid plants, tropical rainforest plants, and tropical flowering plants, respectively.The display format strives to show the extension of plants to natural history and culture, creating an immersive exhibition greenhouse that is both beautiful and fun.In the future, high-tech methods such as multimedia images, artistic lighting, and mobile phone interaction will be introduced to create a unique, fantastic sci-fi night tour experience.
